Antioxidant food can prevent diseases.

According to experts' explanations, 80-odd human diseases are closely connected with free radicals.  All processes of human birth, ageing, sickness and death are just like the processes of metal becoming rusty and food turning bad, on which oxidation of free radicals have an important effect.

Eating antioxidant food in order to prevent diseases is the best way to keep healthy and lively.

That was what I learnt from the "International forum on antioxidant and nation's health" held in Beijing recently.  (Note: I am a journalist.)

According to experts' explanations, 80-odd human diseases are closely connected with free radicals.  All processes of human birth, ageing, sickness and death are just like the processes of metal becoming rusty and food turning bad, on which oxidation of free radicals have an important effect.

Therefore, oxidation is "the source of millions of diseases" and "the culprit in death".  In fact, under normal condition, the production and elimination of free radicals inside human bodies should be in equilibrium.  However, while a person is ageing, antioxidant enzymes become less active, and consequently the function of removing free radicals become less effective.  Then excess free radicals will cause excessive oxidation of lipid, damage biological membranes and affect cellular functions, resulting in diseases and decrepitude.  Meanwhile many daily life factors such as polluted air, contaminated water source and food, bad lifestyle, and emotional problems, etc will cause excessive production of free radicals.

Many scientific research results show that diseases will be prevented efficaciously if a person regularly takes antioxidant supplements in a planned way.

In the discussion forum, the chief scientist of the Children's Nutrition Research Center in the United States Department of Agriculture and that of Brunswick Laboratories in the U.S., together with other experts, recommended "CEB Rice produced by Derunsheng (which is a company in China)".  CEB Rice had already been certified by a U.S. government body.

CEB represents "Cell Endothyte Bacteria" which are a kind of cellular nutrients, contain many antioxidant genes described as "the life of living organisms". Those genes were first-ever discovered inside lily cells by two former professors at The Chinese Academy of Sciences, named Nie Kaiyin and Cheng Zhengshuan. Those genes were then used in growing agricultural crops.

To my knowledge, the rice containing many CEB cellular nutrient genes is now being promoted and grown in the Jilin province of China and the farms covers 750 acres.  After examination of the rice quality inspection center of the agricultural department, its unsaturated fatty acid (which was its main nutrient), protein and sugar content was found to be 66.7%, 48.6% and 8.9% respectively more than that of ordinary rice.  The test result of its 18 amino acids was that, the content of 14 of them was more than that of ordinary rice.
